The Hazelcast Platform is a real-time stream processing platform that lets you build innovative business applications via the unique integration of stream processing capabilities with low-latency storage. The platform lets you build applications that take action on data immediately. The high-performance stream processing engine lets you process an incoming feed of data in real-time, or a historical data set as a batch process. The integrated low-latency store combines the speed of RAM with the cost-effective scale of disk/SSDs to let you quickly enrich your data streams, or to store large volumes of data for downstream analytics. Hazelcast is an open source software platform, but is also available in a commercial edition (“Enterprise”) that adds more enterprise-ready capabilities such as security, business continuity, and scale.
