Join us for part 2 of a four part webinar series. These four webinars make up a course designed for experienced Java Developers who wish to take their first steps in understanding In-Memory Data Grids and their application. By the end of the course the attendee will be able to construct Hazelcast® Clusters and deliver basic caching/compute services.

Once we have our data distributed in our Hazelcast cluster there are multiple ways in which we can interact with it. In this webinar we will introduce the Query API and the ways in which you can perform distributed compute operations against the data in place. The Distributed Compute APIs use familiar Java Idioms such as Executor, Runnable and Callable. We’ll then delve deeper and look into the advantages of the EntryProcessor and the MapReduce API.

David joins Hazelcast® with 25 years experience in the IT Industry. Over the past 16 years he has worked exclusively in the Investment Banking Sector within the City of London. He has served as Vice President of Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse, and later as a Freelance Senior Java Consultant for HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland and Nomura. David has extensive knowledge of Distributed Caching products, having worked with Coherence, Gemfire and Hazelcast for the past 6 years. He began his career in 1988 as a Trainee Cobol Programmer for a national monthly book club.
