Going Multi-site with Hazelcast Enterprise
Watch NowIn this webinar
Most large organizations run their production systems on multiple sites worldwide or in the cloud. This gives them the benefit of business continuity and speed — users can work with their nearest production instance, yet divert to another should the local one go offline for whatever reason.
This webinar shows how this is done with Hazelcast® using the optional WAN replication feature. A cluster will run independently, but can also be connected to other clusters to share data changes inbound or outbound.
Various topologies exist here, such as active-passive where a second cluster it kept up to date ready to be used on demand. Or, active-active, where each cluster handles a share of the traffic but might take it all to give 100% uptime while a counterpart cluster has a maintenance outage.
We’ll cover these topics
- The basics, how it’s configured, how it works and why would you do it
- Topologies, how clusters connect, one-way, two-way
- Advanced topics, filtering, batching and merging
- Operational issues, attaining synchronisation, monitoring and reconciliation
- Live Q&A
