Hazelcast Ramps Up German Focus with comSysto Partnership

Munich-based Java Consultants to Provide Enterprise Organizations with Deep Hazelcast Expertise

Palo Alto, Calif., and Munich, Germany, April 19, 2016Hazelcast®, a leading provider of operational in-memory computing with tens of thousands of installed clusters and over 14 million server starts per month, today announced a strategic partnership with comSysto, a Munich-based agile software development company that has extensive knowledge of Hazelcast’s open source technology platform.

comSysto is a leader in the field of agile software development and delivery with a specific focus on Java and open source frameworks and platforms. In collaboration with partners like Hazelcast, comSysto manages software projects for large German enterprises in sectors such as telecoms, automotive and insurance. Clients include BMW, Telefonica and HolidayCheck.

Under the partnership agreement, comSysto is able to offer new and existing customers in-depth consultancy and access to Hazelcast 3.6 – an open source in-memory computing platform developed for resilience, integrity and scale. In its latest release, Hazelcast has expanded its High-Density Memory Store (HDMS) to new data format and added a Hot Restart Store persistence capability that is SSD-optimized. HDMS capabilities enable memory caches for the largest scale-out or scale-up of application deployments. HDMS enables each node to hold very large amounts of data, 100s of GBs per node, without incurring garbage collection overhead, as well as allowing applications to Near Cache hundreds of GBs of data at a time.

The partnership derived from Hazelcast’s membership of the Big Data Community Alliance (BDCA) – an association of companies, co-ordinated by comSysto, which was formed to promote Big Data and related technologies to the German market. In Germany, the BDCA looks to educate and inform users on new innovative Big Data solutions and how they may be used to enhance application performance and provide greater data security.

“Managing huge amounts of data is becoming more of a pressing challenge for many German institutions which is why we are looking to increase awareness of our solution in this market,” said Greg Luck, CEO of Hazelcast. “Hazelcast 3.6 solves performance and scalability issues for enterprises that have big data concerns, it’s easy to use and deploy, and brings a highly resilient and elastic memory resource to all applications.”

Tomislav Zorc, Managing Director at comSysto, said: “Through discussions we had with Hazelcast in the Big Data Community Alliance, we quickly became aware of the user benefits their technology could provide to many of our customers. We are often given the challenge of improving application speed and scalability, Hazelcast certainly ticks that box whether the need is on-premise or in the cloud.”
